to WBDC’s mission and to the new economy. 

WBDC’s distinguished Honorary Chairman is Chris Bruhl, President and CEO of the Business Council of Fairfield County.  Recognized as one of Connecticut’s most prominent business leaders, Chris always delivers eloquent and erudite remarks on a wide array of topics from big business to micro business. WBDC chose to honor Chris, not only for his business acumen, but also in gratitude for his role in the 1997 launching of WBDC. 

The keynote speaker, Dr. Candida Brush, is a full professor, author and holder of the Paul T. Babson Chair for Entrepreneurship at Babson College. Dr. Brush, Division Chair for Entrepreneurship, is well known for her pioneering research into women-owned businesses. She will share her advice and insight on the importance of training and education and its relationship to the success and sustainability of women and their businesses in a live interview with Rebecca Surran of Channel 12 News.
