Kristen Jensen of Kristen Jensen Productions is a lifestyle photographer/videographer and image strategist who brings an enlightened and gracious style to her advertising magazine, portrait and video assignments. “I’m in the business of making people feel and look their best”, say’s Kristen.
This unique perspective comes as a result of her years in front of the camera. As a former international fashion model with Ford Models, she made an easy transition to the other side of the lens. Kristen has a wealth of knowledge and experience plus an exceptional eye for those special details that trademark her style. All of this experience has proven to be priceless in her photography/video business. Kristen has a knack for getting people to be “real” and capture the right moment, and she also understands the concept of selling your image. She has a keen sense of styling, knowing your right angles, and how to position your body.
She specializes in portraits of celebrities, artists and business professionals in Fairfield County CT, New York City and beyond. Kristen has photographed Chazz Palminteri, Joseph Abboud, Mary Travers, Harvey Fierstein, Ira Joe Fisher as well hundred’s of CEO’s and Entrepreneur’s in Fairfield County, Connecticut.
Kristen supports and has had assignments for many local and national charities, foundations and organizations through her philanthropic work. She completed her first documentary “Never , Never, Never Give Up”. This 25-minute film is about a man fighting Multiple Myeloma. So far the film has raised over $600,000 for Multiple Myeloma research for the center at Mt. Sinai in New York City.
Kristen just returned from Tanzania, Africa shooting her second documentary working with;
Build Tanzanian Family Futures, Inc. The full-length film is about a Tanzanian couples life long dream to build a school in Arusha, Tanzania. Their school is called “Silver Bird Day Care”. Another part of this film will be about a group called “Women Rise Above”. This will be about women rising above poverty and starting their own business’. Currently, several fund raising events are being planned for Spring 2013 in Fairfield County, CT and New York City.
Kristen has worked with the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation, Kids in Crisis, Teen Talk Ridgefield, Autism Society of America, Danbury Women’s Center, Danbury Hospital, Ridgefield Playhouse, TBICO of Danbury, Ridgefield Symphony Youth Orchestra, ROAR (Ridgefield Operation for Animal Rescue), Founders Hall of Ridgefield, RVNA (Ridgefield Visiting Nurse Association)
She is a contributing photographer for Moffly Media and Morris Media Magazines. One of her recent lifestyle assignments of the Amish Country in Pennsylvania is featured in Swiss Air Magazine.
Staying on the cutting edge of technology, Kristen shoots in hi-resolution digital image files and high definition HD video and keeps up with courses through industry organizations, including the Professional Photographers Associate (PPA) and National Associated of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP). Kristen studies her craft and stays on top of her game with the ever-changing world of digital technology. She has developed an expertise for the creation of pictorial documentation of people’s portraits and takes tremendous pride in her business and career.
Born in Berlin, Germany, Kristen grew up in San Francisco where she began her modeling career at the age of 18 and worked with Ford Models in New York City for many years with great success. Among those for whom she has worked are: Bill Blass, Chanel, Yves Saint-Laurent, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein and Liz Clairborne. She has graced the pages of international magazines, including Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, McCall’s, Town & Country, Good Housekeeping, Vanity Fair and New Woman. She has also appeared in hundreds of catalogs around the world, including Victoria’s Secret, Neiman Marcus, Macy’s, Bloomingdales, Spiegel, Sears and Nordstrom.
Kristen’s modeling career offered her an entrée into the realm of television and film. She made guest appearances on “Moonlighting” and “Mike Hammer.” She also had a contract role as Laura Banning on ABC’s “All My Children.” Kristen was chosen for a national VO5 commercial, which was followed by a series of campaigns for Coca-Cola, Buick, Halston, Merit, Clariol, Loreal, Sheridan and Merle Norman.
She is a member of The Women's Business Development Council (WBDC), Norwalk Chamber of Commerce as well as the Advertising Photographers of America (APA) and the Professional Photographers Association (PPA).
