In honor of WBDC’s 10th year, here are our Top 10 reasons to contribute

10.   Your WBDC Donation supports local communities:  For every dollar invested in WBDC,

         87¢ is reinvested in the communities we serve.

  9.    Your WBDC Donation creates jobs: For every 20 clients WBDC serves, 3 new jobs are

         created.  

  8.    Your WBDC Donation opens businesses: For every 20 clients served, a new business

         is launched. 

  7.    Your WBDC donation brings women together:  In 10 years WBDC has served over

         6,000 clients.

  6.    Your WBDC donation generates sales:  In 2006 WBDC clients generated an estimated

         $30 million in gross business revenue in the State.

  5.    Your WBDC donation stimulates speedy economic growth in Connecticut:  15% of   

         clients start businesses within a year of working with WBDC and 41% of clients who   

         complete our FastTrac Program start businesses within 2 years.

  4.    Your WBDC donation helps us respond to the growing demand for services.  In just the

         first three quarters of 2007, we have served more clients, provided more hours of

         training and delivered 50% more training events than in all of 2006. 

  3.    Your WBDC donation enables mothers, sisters and daughters to model success for their

         children and their communities.
